Recently, the 2025 Academic Conference of the Hubei Provincial/Wuhan Pharmacological Society was successfully held at the Taohualing Hotel in Wuhan. As a major industry event in the pharmaceutical and healthcare field, this conference, with the core theme of "Promoting the Integration of Pharmacological Innovation and Clinical Application," attracted numerous experts, scholars, and business elites from the domestic and international pharmacological fields to gather together. Through plenary reports, thematic discussions, and other diverse formats, they discussed new trends in industry development and explored new paths for technological innovation. The conference was held from December 26-28, 2025, with a tight agenda and rich content. On December 26, the registration day, the Outstanding Young Scholars Paper Presentation Competition kicked off the event. Young scholars from various research institutions presented their research results on cutting-edge topics such as signal regulation, disease mechanisms, and drug development, showcasing the innovative vitality of the younger generation in pharmacology.

At the opening ceremony on December 27, Professor Chen Jianguo, Honorary Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Pharmacological Society, Professor Wang Hui, Honorary Chairman of the Wuhan Pharmacological Society, and Professor Wang Fang, Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Pharmacological Society, delivered speeches, reviewing the development history of the society, affirming the important role of pharmacology in promoting pharmaceutical innovation and safeguarding human health, and extending their warm congratulations on the convening of this conference.

During the conference's report session, top experts from renowned universities such as Sun Yat-sen University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Peking University, and Zhejiang University took the stage in turn. Professor Pan Jingxuan focused on pharmacological targeted therapy of tumor stem cells, Professor Lin Houwen shared his exploration of the entire chain of clinical pharmacy integration and innovation, and Professor Cui Yimin interpreted the synergistic development of research ward construction and pharmaceutical innovation. Several experts also conducted in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as the liver-brain axis and depression, biomechanical nano-oncology, and reproductive health management, bringing the most advanced academic perspectives and research progress.

The thematic report on December 28th featured four parallel sessions, covering key areas such as cutting-edge interdisciplinary pharmacology, new advances in clinical pharmacology, the integration of AI with traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology, and the translation of pharmacological research. The content was tailored to the actual development needs of enterprises. A concurrent teaching competition for faculty focused on core pharmacology teaching content, using innovative teaching models to support talent cultivation in the industry and solidify the talent foundation for the continued healthy development of the pharmaceutical industry.

During the conference, the Hubei Provincial/Wuhan Pharmacological Society successfully completed its 11th council election, injecting new vitality into the society's development. At the closing ceremony, outstanding young paper authors and teaching competition winners were recognized. Professor Chen Xiao, President of the Wuhan Pharmacological Society, stated in his concluding remarks that this conference established an efficient platform for industry-academia-research exchange, which will further promote the innovative development of the pharmaceutical industry in Hubei Province.
