On October 16, Reed Biotech Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. joined the Hubei Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, the Hubei Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, and the Hubei Guangxi Chamber of Commerce in visiting families in need in Daye, Huangshi, Hubei Province.

Now in its fifth year, this targeted assistance initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable families through regular visits and practical assistance. By bringing together government, businesses, and business associations, we aim to turn care and concern into meaningful support for those who need it most.

On-the-Ground Visits to Understand Families' Needs

During the visit, the Reed Biotech team traveled to Pancha Village in Bao'an Town and Huoshi Village in Jinshandian Town, Daye, to meet with families receiving assistance.

In Pancha Village, the team visited a family raising three minor children. Through face-to-face conversations, we learned more about the family's income, living conditions, access to medical care, and children's education. We listened carefully to their concerns and identified specific issues requiring further support and coordination.

The team also took note of changes in the family's circumstances. During last year's visit, both elderly family members were still alive; this year, one had passed away. We therefore paid particular attention to the family's current living arrangements, financial security, and daily care needs to ensure that future assistance remains relevant and responsive.

Practical Support That Makes a Difference

During the visit, Reed Biotech and the Hubei Guangxi Chamber of Commerce jointly provided the family with essential supplies, including rice, flour, and cooking oil, as well as financial assistance.

These contributions were intended to help cover everyday necessities and ease the family's financial burden. More importantly, the visit offered an opportunity to show that the family is not alone and that care and support from the government and the wider community continue to be there when needed.

Through this hands-on approach, the initiative brings practical help and a sense of warmth to families facing hardship, highlighting the value of collaboration in community support.

A Long-Term Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

As a biotechnology company rooted in Wuhan's Optics Valley, Reed Biotech believes that giving back to the community is an important part of doing business responsibly. Supporting local communities and contributing to social well-being remain key priorities in our long-term corporate social responsibility efforts.

Moving forward, we will continue working with government departments, business associations, and other partners to better understand the challenges faced by families in need and provide targeted, practical support. We are committed to making these efforts sustainable and meaningful, turning our corporate social responsibility commitments into tangible action.
